Healthy Families
“The resources my home visitor provides have been awesome. They were very in tune with our needs and offers advice and information before I even ask!”
New parents often need encouragement and support as they navigate the decisions and changes that come with having a baby.
In Healthy Families, we work to support parents by assigning a Home Visitor who regularly stops by and spends time with the parent.
The Home Visitor ensures baby doesn’t miss a doctor’s appointment, helps figure out childcare arrangements and monitors development - gifting parents with peace of mind.
SCAN’s Healthy Families is accredited through Healthy Families of America, a national seal of quality.

How Can I Join Healthy Families?
Parents may enroll in Healthy Families from the third trimester of pregnancy (as early as 28 weeks) until 12 weeks after the baby is born.
Parents qualify for the completely free program by being eligible for a form of Medicaid, such as HIP, Caresource, WIC and more, and by falling within income guidelines.
Once a family joins the program, they have a Family Support Specialist assigned to them who will meet the family for up to the first three years of their baby’s life.
