Helping Build Stable Homes

When Leslie first came to SCAN, she was looking for help in guidance to help her granddaughter, Claire. For Leslie, the first step she needed to take was taking care of issues regarding the condition of her home before she could help her granddaughter.

SCAN’s team of Family Coaches came in to help Leslie help herself. With their help, Leslie was able to address safety issues with her home and create a room for Claire. Beyond that, Leslie worked closely with SCAN to gain the motivation and confidence to take care of Claire full time.

Soon after getting her home in order, Claire came to live with Leslie full time. Both are doing great with their new situation. Leslie has been back to SCAN to bring Claire for supervised visitation with her parents.
